Taste is Personal: A Journal

The goal of this journal is to distill down the overwhelming amount of opinions on the internet related to health and wellness topics.

Investing at its core is about asking good questions. As such, the content is organized around questions that are either overlooked or personally vexing.

The name, Taste is Personal, stems from how often people fail to realize that their sensory inputs reflect a sample of 1.

We are social creatures who tend to strongly identify with various groups while at the same time our brains process inputs differently. This dichotomy makes evaluating the underlying drivers of consumer decision-making fascinating.

When analyzing complex systems (e.g. food, healthcare), many threads lead back to consumer taste preferences. An understanding of taste preferences is a necessary starting point.

Sources of information are footnoted copiously if readers want to delve further into an area.  The vast majority of the ideas are from others. The aim is to synthesize big topics into 2-4 pages.

Sharing feedback or any burning questions is highly encouraged via hello@rootspring.vc
